The Karate Kid (Part 2)

What Daniel believed to be a waste of his time, and thought that Mr. Miyagi was using him for his own selfish purpose was in reality TRAINING for his karate tournament.  Mr. Miyagi had Daniel practicing karate moves that he needed to learn for his tournament, he had him strengthening the muscles he would need to use, so that when he fought during the tournament he wouldn’t be taken down so easily.  That is exactly how God works in our lives.  God will put you in places under circumstances that you find difficult, doing things that you feel are not meant for you to do. When you are in this predicament, you then start to questions God, you start to wonder what is your purpose, are you really in the will of God, you get a deep uncomfortable feeling and at times even doubt yourself.  However, God is DOPE, AMAZING and AWESOME and we don’t have to fret, and we don’t have to figure it out because God will do all of that and more for us.
God will make it all come together for our good.
In Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
God has a plan for us and His plans will ALWAYS prevail over our own plans.  We all know that if God just told us what to do we are so hard headed that we are not going to do it.  Sometimes God has to send us through the maze so that we have to walk all the way to the middle and by putting you in these situations he accomplishes His will for your life.  I saw a video of young woman who writes blogs, and she also does makeup and some other stuff and she mentioned that she had a job where she had to write a lot.  I don’t remember what exactly she had to write but she had to do a huge amount of writing daily.  She asked God one day “what is this about God?” and a couple of months later she started to write her own book.  God placed her in that position to prepare her writing skills so that she can share her story with the world.  God knew that was the only way that she would polish up her skills.  God knows that there are many times when He will have to just put us in a situation because we will not willingly do something.
God will also place certain people in our lives because they will be used to sand us down and make us better for His kingdom.  I have worked with some very difficult people and been in many awkward situations but all of those situations were orchestrated by God to make me a more patient and understanding person.  He wanted to teach me that He needs to be glorified in all situations.
In the book of Proverbs 3:5-6 is states; Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.
This passage right here tells us we need to trust God no matter how things look or feel to us.  Although we might think we know what we need WE DON’T!  God created us for a purpose and part of surrendering to God is that He is going to mold us into the people that He had in mind when He knit us in our mother’s womb.  We all want to do our “thing” and we want to make our own plans about how our life is going to be and God has to use other methods to get us to do what He wants us to do.  Sometimes the methods seem harsh to us, but the outcomes are great.
I want to encourage you all and in encouraging you I am also encouraging myself.  There isn’t a scripture in the Bible, in any of the books, where it states that we have to WORRY about things, or STRESS over things, or FIGURE things out on our own.
However, I have read over and over that we should TRUST God.  It doesn’t matter how things look, or how they feel, we need to trust God with all.  God knows what we need, He knows what we are capable of, He knows how He is going to accomplish His plans for us.  He KNOWS and we have to TRUST that He knows.  If we feel doubtful, we need to turn those doubts to Jesus and seek our answers from Him and when the time is right He will reveal the information that we need to know, or rather what we want to know.  So the next time that you are placed in a situation that you don’t understand, that you feel is not relevant to your life, ask God (turn to God) to seek the answers that you have in your mind.  And trust that although that particular situation is not relevant to you now, at a specific time in your life it will make complete sense as to why it happened, or why you went through the experience with the person.
